Among the exquisite desserts, rose petal jam plays a special role. Most often it is prepared from Crimean, tea and fragrant roses. We tell you 20 of the easiest and most delicious recipes!
1. The classic recipe for rose petal jam
Not only tasty, but also very healthy!
You will need: 2 cups rose petals, 350 g sugar, 0.5 tsp. citric acid, 400 ml of water.
Preparation: Rinse the petals, dry them, cover them with sugar and put them in a cool place for 4 hours. Pour in water, add citric acid and simmer for 40 minutes. Spread the jam in clean jars and roll up.
2. Jam with rose petals and gelatin
Red rose petals are tougher and take longer to cook.
You will need: 200 g of rose petals, 400 g of sugar, 150 g of gelatin, 1 liter of water, 1 tbsp. lemon juice.
Preparation: Boil water with sugar for 5 minutes, add prepared rose petals, stir and turn off. Remove from heat and remove to infuse for 12 hours. Pour in lemon juice, boil for 15 minutes, add gelatin diluted in hot syrup, heat for 5 minutes over low heat and turn off.
3. Jam from rose petals with pectin
The most favorable time for collecting petals is considered earlier in the morning!
You will need: 300 g rose petals, 1.5 tsp. pectin, 200 ml of water, 600 g of sugar, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 450 ml of water.
Preparation: Rinse the petals, pour over boiling water and pour into boiling water with sugar. Boil for 5 minutes and put in a cool place for 6 hours. Add lemon juice, pectin mixed with sugar and boil for 5 minutes after boiling. Put the hot jam in the jars.
4. Rose petal jam with honey
We recommend using light honey.
You will need: 3 cups of tea rose petals, 200 ml of honey.
Preparation: Rinse and dry the petals. Add honey and lightly knead the mixture with a wooden spatula. Put the jam in clean jars and close with nylon lids.
5. Jam from rose petals without cooking
Store this jam only in the refrigerator!
You will need: 200 g of rose petals, 400 g of granulated sugar, a pinch of citric acid.
Preparation: Rinse and dry the petals. Add sugar, citric acid and knead the mixture with a mortar until juice appears. Put sugar on the bottom of the dry jar, put the jam and sprinkle sugar on top again.
6. Rose petal jam with agar-agar
Rinse the petals with a strainer, colander, or sieve.
You will need: 3 cups rose petals, 1.5 tsp. agar-agar, 0.5 kg of sugar, juice of half a lemon, 350 ml of water.
Preparation: Place the prepared rose petals in a deep saucepan. Add 400 g of sugar, water, lemon juice and boil for 10 minutes after boiling. Mix the agar-agar with the remaining sugar and pour into a saucepan. Boil the jam for 20 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly.
7. Jam with strawberries and rose petals
A truly royal treat!
You will need: 200 g of rose petals, 400 g of strawberries, 0.5 kg of sugar, 0.5 tsp. citric acid.
Preparation: Add sugar to the strawberries and refrigerate for 5 hours. Bring to a boil over low heat, boil for 10 minutes and cool. Grind the washed rose petals in a blender, add sugar and pour into a saucepan with strawberries. Add citric acid and cook for another 15 minutes.
8. Jam with rose petals and rose oil
The readiness of the jam is evidenced by the petals that have sunk to the bottom.
You will need: 500 g of rose petals, 50 ml of lemon juice, 1 kg of sugar, 200 ml of water, 2 drops of rose oil.
Preparation: Rinse the petals, dry them, add half the sugar and leave for 5 hours. Stir the remaining sugar in water and boil for 5 minutes, add rose petals, lemon juice and cook the jam over low heat for 20 minutes. Add rose oil and stir before turning off.
9. Transparent rose petal jam
This jam can be added to pastries, teas and drinks.
You will need: 200 g of rose petals, 2 cups of sugar, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 150 ml of water.
Preparation: Pour sugar over the petals and refrigerate for 5 hours. Pour in water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Turn off, cool and strain twice. Add lemon juice to the syrup and simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
10. Rose petal jam with tartaric acid
Tartaric acid gives the jam a beautiful pink color.
You will need: 200 g rose petals, 1 tsp. tartaric acid, 450 ml of water, 450 g of sugar.
Preparation: Boil water with sugar, add prepared rose petals and simmer for 30 minutes. Pour in tartaric acid and tomatoes for another 3 minutes. Turn off and pour the jam into the jars.
11. Jam with rose petals and orange juice
It is best to store rose petals with sugar in porcelain or enamel dishes.
You will need: 200 g of rose petals, 1 glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 500 g sugar, 150 ml water.
Preparation: Mix water with sugar and boil for 2 minutes. Pour in the washed petals and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside for 5-6 hours. Pour in the juice of orange, lemon and boil for half an hour.
12. Jam with rose petals and rose hips
You can also add to jam and half-opened rose hips.
You will need: 500 g of rose petals, 1 glass of rose hips, 30 ml of lemon juice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 glass of water.
Preparation: Chop the rosehip, fill it with water and boil for half an hour. Add sugar, rose petals and cook for another 15 minutes. Turn off and cool. Add lemon juice, boil the jam for another 10 minutes and roll into jars.
13. Jam from chopped rose petals
Try not to overcook the jam so that it retains the maximum useful properties.
You will need: 300 g rose petals, 600 g sugar, 0.5 tsp. citric acid, 100 ml of water.
Preparation: Grind the prepared petals in a blender with sugar. Leave for 2-3 hours, add water, citric acid and boil for 15 minutes after boiling.
14. Jam from rose petals and rhubarb
Increase the amount of sugar if desired.
You will need: 500 g of rose petals, 200 g of rhubarb, 1 kg of sugar, 150 ml of water, a slice of lemon.
Preparation: Prepare the petals and rhubarb. Put everything in a deep saucepan, cover with sugar and put in the refrigerator for 5 hours. Pour in water, lemon juice and boil for 30 minutes. Pour hot jam into jars, roll up and wrap up with a warm towel for a day.
15. Jam with rose petals, star anise, cinnamon and cloves
Do not store such jam for more than 1 year!
You will need: 500 g of rose petals, 1 kg of sugar, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, 2 star anise stars, 0.5 tsp. cinnamon, 1 clove, vanilla on the tip of a knife, a glass of water.
Preparation: Boil water with sugar, add washed rose petals and boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Pour in lemon juice and boil for 15 minutes. After 2 hours, add spices, boil for 10 minutes and pour the jam into jars.
16. Jam from rose petals and mint
Don't forget to sterilize the lids!
You will need: 3 glasses of rose petals, 3 sprigs of mint, 500 g of sugar, a pinch of citric acid, 150 ml of water.
Preparation: Cover the petals with sugar and put them in a cool place for 6 hours. Pour in water and boil for 10 minutes after boiling, turn off and cool. Add chopped mint, citric acid and simmer for 15 minutes.
17. Jam from rose petals "Five minutes"
A great recipe for rose jam for those who don't have too much time!
You will need: 0.5 kg of rose petals, 1.2 kg of sugar, 1.5 tbsp. lemon juice, 500 ml of water.
Preparation: Boil water with sugar, add rose petals and turn off after 2 minutes. Leave for 5-6 hours in a cool place. Bring to a boil over low heat and boil for 4 minutes. Pour in lemon juice and turn it off after a minute. Pour the jam into sterilized jars.
18. Jam from rose petals and ginger
It will invigorate, warm and delight you with excellent taste!
You will need: 500 g of rose petals, 100 g of ginger root, 1 kg of sugar, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 150 ml of water.
Preparation: Rinse and dry the rose petals, and peel and rub the ginger root on a fine grater. Mix everything with sugar and boil for 15 minutes. Cool, pour in lemon juice and boil for another 10 minutes.
19. Jam from rose petals with apples
You can separate the syrup and boil it separately until thick.
You will need: 500 g of rose petals, 3 apples, 1.2 kg of sugar, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, a glass of water.
Preparation: Cut the apples into small pieces, mix with rose petals, sugar and put in the refrigerator for 6 hours. Pour in water, lemon juice and simmer for 30 minutes over low heat. Put the finished jam in a prepared container and roll up.
20. Thick jam with rose petals, apple and lemon
Mix the petals with the sugar evenly.
You will need: 500 g rose petals, 400 g apples, 1 lemon, 1.5 kg sugar.
Preparation: Cut apples and lemon, mix with sugar, rose petals and refrigerate for 6 hours. Grind the mass with an immersion blender and bring to a boil over low heat. Boil the jam for another half hour and roll it up.
