New Year's snowflakes are an integral symbol of winter and holiday. Like real ones, they are always unique, because it is very difficult to repeat two patterns that coincide to a millimeter. Catch 12 easy and beautiful ideas on how to make a paper snowflake with your own hands!
1. Simple origami snowflake
Fold a square piece of paper diagonally, mark the middle and fold the corners of the triangle over it. Then cut out absolutely any pattern and unfold the snowflake.
2. Openwork snowflake
The principle is very similar to the previous one, but sharp corners and an openwork pattern look interesting here. We recommend using a new utility knife for fine, straight cuts.
3. Fluffy snowflake
In addition to the cardboard base, you will need a piece of white corrugated paper. Cut small rectangles out of it, twist them on a wooden stick or toothpick and glue them tightly over the base on PVA.
4. Snowflake made of paper strips
Cut thin, uniform strips of paper about a centimeter wide. Fold three pieces in a crisscross pattern, fix with paper clips and bind the "petals".
5. Snowflake made of two pieces
Cut out the base of four beams and cut slits in each of them to separate one segment into three. Glue the middle segments to the middle. Make another snowflake of the same kind and overlap them on top of each other.
6. Snowflake made of paper modules
Cut the paper into medium-sized squares, considering that one square is just one of six blanks. Fold each in half twice and make slits, but not all the way. Form rounded "petals" and glue them with the tips into a snowflake.
7. Snowflake made of paper loops
One section of the snowflake needs one strip of 25x2 cm and two strips of 21x2 and 19x2 cm. Roll each of them into a loop and glue the end on PVA, and then connect them all together with a clothespin. You will need eight of these sections and a tight round center.
8. Quilling paper snowflake
This is a graceful and subtle variation of the previous scheme, but now take a lot of thinner stripes. Use a knitting needle or an awl to roll them into elastic droplets, diamonds and other figures. And only then glue them into a snowflake, like a constructor.
9. Snowflake herringbone
Fold six identical squares of paper diagonally and cut to the middle. Wrap each section with herringbone loops, alternating sides. And when they dry out, firmly connect the sections into one snowflake.
10. Paper snowflake accordion
Fold the sheet into a uniform accordion, bend it in half, draw a pattern and cut it through. Unfold, glue the edges of the snowflake into a circle and gently straighten it. By the way, even single-sided colored paper is perfect.
11. Radial paper snowflake
Fold a wide strip of paper again with an accordion and make patterns and ornaments with a blade and an awl. Glue the blank into a ring along the edge, pull the center onto a thread or glue and spread the snowflake.
12. Paper snowflake star
For such a craft, it is better to take thick paper that does not wrinkle. Cut out a round middle and lots of triangles for the rays. Fold the rays into cones, stick them in the middle, so that some are visible between others.
